Oats with Flaxseed & Blueberries
Oats simmered soft and topped with ground flaxseed and fresh blueberries — a fiber-rich breakfast built for heart health.

This is a straightforward bowl of oats, dressed up with just enough flaxseed and blueberries to make breakfast feel like it's doing something for you.
Oats are one of the more commonly cited sources of soluble fiber, a nutrient often discussed in the context of heart-healthy eating, and ground flaxseed adds even more fiber on top along with a bit of plant-based omega-3 fat. Blueberries bring natural sweetness and their own dose of fiber, which means the honey at the end is entirely optional rather than necessary. There's no added salt anywhere in this bowl, which fits neatly with the recipe's high-blood-pressure tag.
Stir the flaxseed in while the oats are still hot so it blends in smoothly, then top with the blueberries once you've plated it.
