Skip the tea bag for this one — a few thin slices of fresh ginger simmered gently for ten minutes gives you a warmer, more rounded cup than steeping alone ever does.
Because it's caffeine-free, it's an easy swap for coffee or black tea on days when acid reflux makes those choices uncomfortable. Ginger has long been used in warm drinks like this one for its soothing quality, and a little honey rounds out the sharpness without needing much sugar. Leave the lemon out if citrus isn't sitting well that day.
