Pan-seared salmon fillets finished in a rich garlic butter and cream sauce, ready for the table in about 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 4 fillets salmon skin-on, about 6 oz each
  • 3 tablespoons butter unsalted
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream or coconut cream for dairy-free
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional, for heat
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese grated, optional for extra creaminess
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped, for garnish
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear salmon fillets skin-side down for 4–5 minutes, then flip and cook another 3–4 minutes until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in chicken broth, heavy cream, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Add parmesan cheese (if using) and stir until melted into the sauce.
  6. Return salmon fillets to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top. Simmer for 2 minutes to blend flavors.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
