This is less a recipe than an assembly — ripe avocado, halved cherry tomatoes, and thinly sliced red onion tossed together, then finished with olive oil and a good squeeze of lemon juice. A ripe avocado is really the only ingredient here that needs a bit of care — press gently to check for give before slicing into it.

There's no dairy anywhere in this bowl, which makes it a simple, naturally lactose-free side or light lunch. The avocado brings a creamy texture that does a lot of the work a dressing usually would, while the lemon juice keeps everything tasting fresh rather than heavy.

Serve it right after tossing so the avocado stays vibrant, alongside grilled protein or scooped up with crackers. with an extra crack of black pepper right before eating.
