Four kinds of berries piled into one bowl make this salad feel more like a treat than a health food, even though that's essentially what it is.

Berries are consistently among the fruits people point to when they talk about antioxidant-rich eating, and stacking several kinds together here — blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries — is what earns this dish its cancer-support tag, alongside the fiber from chia seeds and diced apple. None of that means the salad does anything on its own beyond being a genuinely nutrient-dense way to eat fruit. Walnuts add a bit of crunch and healthy fat if you want them, and the dressing is just lemon juice and a little honey, kept light so the berries stay the star.

Toss gently right before serving so the berries hold their shape, and add the mint last for a fresh finish.
